Upon your very first listen to "She" by Time Vandals (who hail from that great rock & roll town, St. Louis, Missouri) - you cannot help but to be deeply impressed by their musicianship, songwriting ability and the song's production values. While Time Vandals musical influences are quite evident - they have achieved a sound of their own which is quite compelling. Looking forward to more from this great band!

"Foxy lady...." But really I like the guitar intro, even if I heard some Hendrix there. You guys seem to be hitting a chord that takes the listener back to classic rock of the '70's and '80's in a very raw sense. I like the song but can suggest that you take the time and money to go into a real studio and get the production done properly. This is really sounding more like a mic set in the middle of your rehearsal studio so please do us all a favor and get the production down right. Can't wait to hear it again when you do. A famous german football coach once said, there's no old and young players but just good and bad ones. Well, in a way this is also valid for rock songs or musical styles. In my ears and eyes the 60s were the most important and influencing decade in the evolution of rock music, and this song clearly has its roots in this period. It is not really retro or vintage but really coming from the past, even if being recorded just right now. The production is also quite old school, the lead guitar is not loud enough, the drums are sometimes a bit bumpy, the lead voice is rough and raw, and I can hardly hear any effects such as delay or reverb. So all in all it is a very authentic piece of music, relating to a time when most of the bands just sounded this way. One might discuss the originality of the song, there are no modulations or breaks or other earcatching gimmicks, it is just rolling on for nearly five minutes, but ok, that's a matter of taste in the end. But many of the rock songs of this period were just made like that, and they've influenced legions of musicians and listeners since then. Good to hear that there still is a band doing it this way in 2023.
