Beltane have a approach to recording that as far as is known is totally unique. Recording on every Solstice & Equinox, the band draws on the energies ov the mighty Wheel ov the Year. Often these r "Very much rooted in the black metal sound but with some songs containing more traditional metal elements, gothic & industrial. Though the majority is fairly straight BM but done in an original way. Unlike a lot ov bands, the songs are strong & don't merge into one another incomprehensibly. Probably not for the person that cannot tolerate anything but "meat & potato" BM but great for those that want a bit ov varied interest without straying too far."

Often these recordings are at outdoor locations, in places ov power. From these four cardinal recordings (plus cover tracks recorded on the other Pagan days) 2-4 releases are made per year, depending on the combination ov Album & EP length releases.
Since the Solstice in December 2004, Beltane to date (Oct 2011) has done 28 Seasonal Recordings & released 21 CDs, including 5 full-length albums. Currently album number six is in the works.
