Hi, I'm happy to celebrate this Christmas with you friends of the Number One Music mailing list.
I welcome the new members and as always I thank you all from my heart.
Today I present to you a song about peace entitled: “Il coraggio della pace”.
This topic has been dealt with a lot in the past decades, today it still finds space but at times it seems anachronistic. Yet there may come a time when you feel inside you to put your hand to a song about peace as it happened to me in 2007, making a first recording in 2008 and then the final one between 2014 and 2015.
I am presenting it these days because the Christmas tradition focuses on various themes: family, friendship, solidarity, peace.
The song focuses attention on armed conflicts but, beyond this, each of us is in search of his own form of peace: this year we are thinking in particular at the global level of peace from Covid 19.
First of all, this song has a close link with the song "Artigiani di speranza" because in its concluding words there is already the title "Il coraggio della pace" when it says: “Quanta luce per le genti e il coraggio della pace, e una tomba vuota hai lasciato tu Gesù” ("How much light for the people and the courage of peace, and a tomb you left Jesus empty”). These two songs are therefore in continuity.
The basic idea: two antagonistic child soldiers, escaped and now grown up, meet and talk to each other in new eyes.
The voices of children appear the least present and yet they are the most important. In dialogue with adults, they listen, exclaim, try to say "peace", in the end, having internalized the concept, they can now say for themselves: "PEACE" and repeat it to adults (it is a hope!).
You will also be able to see a video clip. It was registered in the church “S. Francesco” in Avellino (Italy) where there is "Il murale della pace" painted by Ettore De Conciliis in 1965. On the internet you will find a lot of material about this mural.
Maybe one day I will tell you how and why I chose this place for the video clip.
See you soon, I embrace you all.
Wishes for a Merry Christmas.

Hello everyone, I greet you with real gratitude and welcome the new members of this mailing list.
I am not on time for this appointment but I am writing to you with great pleasure and emotion.
While I meditate on new songs, I would like to tell you that in my past, besides music, there was a long and beautiful experience lived through scenographic installations: drawing, building, painting. This has always given me the opportunity to dream of my music even under the scenic aspect.
I'll be back to look at a photo of May 1995 with you. We were "The boys of Terminus" in TIME: concert with music by Pink Floyd. In addition to playing the rhythm guitar, I created this scenography made with the leftovers of non-colored jeans fabric that a local industry produces. I am not present in this photo because I was arranging the last things in a corner. With the spirit of a professional set designer, but without being one, I faced the idea of a possible future.
Then certain artistic stories get stuck, mine like many others, and the feeling of an unfinished artistic path remains. But as I say in the song Troppo Lento: “I instill a light that never goes out”.
Light also like you!
Today things have changed a lot and even a medium-sized concert can be solved easily scenically using a led wall connected to a computer.
I greet you for this time with the link of one of my songs: IL CUORE C'E' (You Tube) (expired link)
hoping to be able to upload more things to Number One Music soon.
God protect you all.
A warm greeting

Hi everyone, I hope you are well. From the parts where I live, Covid has done little damage but a thought goes to all those people who are suffering so much.
Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you a song that I wrote a few years ago entitled "You will love".
The words come from notes between 2008 and 2009; the reworking takes place on the night of 31.12.2014: in practice I expected the new year working on this song.
The verb Amerai is certainly inspired by the Gospel and here finds a very common dimension of life.
Within the album "Troppo Lento", the song Amerai depicts the voice of conscience, included in a female voice, played by a friend of mine: Lucia Zarrilli.
Happy listening and see you soon.
I wish you excellent things.

I sincerely thank all of you for having enjoyed my song: Artigiani di Speranza.
This fraternal welcome of yours truly amazes me.
I thought to tell you how it was born. During Lent 2005, February 25, some friends of mine had organized a ten-station biblical viae crucis based on the Passion according to Matthew. I was assigned the tenth stage: "The empty tomb" (Matthew 28, 1-8). Each of us had the task of choosing a relevant reading from a favorite spiritual author. But I didn't understand this aspect so I opened the Bible and after a while I wrote my meditation. After a few days I began to believe that it was a suitable text for a song on hope and the Resurrection and with some modifications it could work.
In the meantime, I had a sequence of two chords that I liked: G# C, which I was unable to follow up on. Then towards the end of the year, a friend of mine wrote a text to the Holy Spirit and handed it to me and to a teacher of Gregorian chant who composed the music after a few days. Then, I made my arrangements, which had been somewhat expanded, and I thought it was time to put my meditation to music on the empty tomb.
After a few days, the refrain was missing, which came whistling suddenly. Later I thought of a prayer I wrote on January 22, 2006: "Dear Jesus makes us artisans of hope, turners of faith, wanderers of charity" and so artisans of hope entered the second part of the refrain.
After a year, that meditation had become a song.
Craftsmen of hope: it appeared to me from a very involving aspect. I imagined this: the empty tomb is like the shop where each of us, like a craftsman, goes there every day to produce his personal conversion work. And from there to go towards the goals of the neighbor, to bring a job that has now become an announcement: the mission of evangelical hope.
Anyone who loves to change things positively is a craftsman of hope.
I greet you with deep gratitude.
