New music - Ester Adjuah

Hi everyone, Thanks for your amazing support. I wanted to give you some "back story" on my latest post, Ester Adjuah. I was attending a conference outside of London, and many attendees were grieving that a young friend of theirs had recently taken her life. Her name was Ester Gluck, and she was an activist for the homeless and for refugee children beginning to enter the UK. She also had spent several months volunteering in Ghana. At the age of 20, she spoke up and was charitable with her time in ways that most adults never manage to. While in Ghana, she was known by her love of purple clothing. She became "adopted" by the village that she worked in and, as is the tradition, was given the name of Adjuah, the Ghanaian word for Monday, the day of the week that she was born on. So, she became a "child of Monday." One of the passions that she had was raising money to give backpacks filled with clothes and toiletries to refugee children who were separated from their parents, and alone in a new place (UK). Ester's mom celebrated her life by keeping up this charity in London, called the Separated Child Foundation. separatedchild.org I was inspired to write the story of this young woman whom I've never met, but inspired me by her work. Ironically, Ester has become a Separated Child from us. We remember her charitable work with Separated Children. I hope that you enjoy this music. Thank you for your support and comments. I'm on my way toward releasing an EP of this music. Two songs to go... Best, Arnie
