With Catalina Sandino Moreno, narrator of the Spanish version of Code Name: Butterflies, the documentary

I want to take this time to thank all my subscribers for supporting my songs Bachata de las Carteras and Llora Corazon by sharing some photos about the making of my songs at IASO Records in New York. Bachata de las Carteras is the theme for "Code Name: Butteflies", a documentary that tells the story of the Mirabal Sisters, Dominican Heroines from the 1950s that were murdered by dictator Rafael Leonidas Trujillo for fighting against his cruel regime of 30 years. In honor of the Mirabal sisters the United Nations designated the 25th of November, day of their murder as "International Day of No Violence Against Women" to remember their courage. This day is observed every year by most institutions and government officials around the world. Bachata de las Carteras and Llora Corazon where written not only to tell the story, but most importantly to use my music to uphold their courage as a force of empowerment to victims of gender violence and women of all nations. Que Vivan las Mariposas: Patria, Minerva and Maria Teresa Mirabal!
