Review of Super Hero by Andrew Neil

Hi Andrew, this is an interesting song, it is quite moody and has an atmosphere to it which makes you want to hear what it's about! The lyrics are intriguing too and I like the guitar instrumental section- it has an unpredictable sound to it there which again makes you want to keep listening! :)

Vibey Acoustic

Andrew Neil's "Super Hero" uses low acoustic guitar harmonies and reverbed out vocals to create a mellow 60's vibe. The vocals have nice phrasing to cut through the low end of the guitar. He then adds a fair amount of room reverb to help accentuate the chill nature of the song. I look forward to hearing more from the rest of Andrew Neil's album and I am have a good feeling about his next project.

Acoustic Grunge

Helpful

Would like to hear this one played by Nirvana - your tunes remind me very much on this great band. In this completely naked and acoustic context the song is lacking energy, and the voice sounds a bit distorted in some of the chorus parts as well. I also think the song is a bit too long. But it's got potential to become a grunge rock song if played by at least a drummer, a bass man and yourself. Is there such a version? I'm sure it'd be worth trying.

Super Hero

Nice solo performance . I like the vocal especially on the chorus. Again I'd say it's a bit too long. Lyrics , especially on verses are interesting . I don't listen to much of this kind of music but I like its stripped down quality

strange but good

The singer has an interesting tone. Unpolished and not well produced, the song sounds like it was recorded on an empty stage. All that being said, the rawness of the song lends it a certain mystique. It is very reminiscent of the early 90's grunge movement played acoustically. I think that fans of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and the like would find this song an interesting gem. I think it is interesting but I doubt I will be visiting Andrew Neil's work again. Just not my cup of tea but, there are others who will drink his brand of brew. No doubt about that. Cheers.

TBA REVIEW ON ANDREW NEIL

HELLO ANDREW NEIL, HONESTLY I AM NOT AN EXPERT IN YOUR STYLE OF MUSIC BUT I DO HAVE AN EAR FOR GOOD MUSIC. WITH THAT SAID, I LIKE IT. NOW I DO THINK THAT THIS SONG DOES DESERVE TO BE RECORDED IN A BETTER QUALITY STUDIO SO THE SONG CAN GET ITS FULL POTENTIAL. IT REMINDS ME OF NIRVANA TYPE MUSIC. I ACTUALLY THINK ITS DOPE. KEEP PUSHING FOWARD, AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

Very raw

Helpful

A very raw recording, suits the style of the song. The chord progression nods to House of the Rising Sun, very interesting. "I'm the one they love to hate" lyrics hit hard and are very relatable.

Excellent Sound

I enjoyed this piece the artist put together. I enjoyed the strings especially which to me brought the soul out in this song. The artist also has an in depth message which I love because it opens up your mind in ways where you can actually walk with the artist through the story line. "Getting bolder to live my dreams and it ain't over till the fat lady sings." This song definitely has motivation and inspiration. ~Diverse

"Super Hero" Review

I like the voice. I think the guitar needs a little bit of work though. I think it would sound better if the vocal melody wasn't the same as the guitar part. It sounded like there were a few guitar mistakes throughout the song. The transition from the chorus back into the verse doesn't sound very smooth. I really like the voice though. The guitar part just needs to be a little more steady and solid. This song has a lot of potential. It would probably sound much better with a full band. Again, I really like the voice. If you work on it a little bit more I think it could be a really good song.
