The sweetest rebellion

Helpful

This is the sweetest rebellion song I have ever heard. Bursting with truth and honesty, it reminds us that we should follow and be led by our true self. Building a home with our true love and being who we really are is the most beautiful rebellion xxx

This is the second chance I've had to review your material. Like last time, your Nylon string guitar needs to be cleanly mic'ed. It would have seriously benefited from some EQ'ing and some nice short echo. Also it seems to have been out of tune on certain phrasing. Also like last time I really enjoyed your lyrics and the phrasing. The songs structure is good too. I would seriously recommend that you book a small project studio and do some basic recording there and I think you will be surprised at how good some real production will make your songs pop! Dean

Something 's in there... Something in the air, in the type of composition, A raspy voice, a very simple guitar. I just saying that maybe a better production is necesary, I don't know what exactly, but I like it.

Your vocals are unique and flow nicely; especially at the beginning with the guitar. Lyrically, I think you're an excellent storyteller, and loved the imagery your words provoked. I respect an artist that makes you think about the lyrics too, and the different meaning that could fit each line. You have a talent for making it look effortlessly. I love acoustic, folk music. I don't think you need a full band behind you or at least not on this song. I like the raw feeling to it, keeping it simple instrumentally, in my opinion will help bring ever more attention to the lyrics. Thank you for sharing this gem. I should mention I did not remark on the quality of the recording because it's stated in the title, first cut.

After hitting play on this track I wasn't sure what to expect until this voice from the past entered my sterio field, then "wow" I was hooked! Reminds me of real, authentic, smoked filled coffee house music from the village in NewYork, mid 60's where people hung on every note and lyric to hopefully gain a little insight into the heart and mind of the singer. If your looking for a flashy produced song here you won't find it. Instead you'll find a real stripped down honest from the gut tune with no bs for desert. I Like!

Folky and pleasant

Quite a quirky chilled out track. Not sure the production gets the most out of the indie style vocals. There is definitely a good song here and as the singing gets going and slightly higher is really nice. A little rough around the edges, but polished could be a nice little diamond.

Rebels this is the reason why I like folk you can take a simple guitar then lyrics and make a song sound good if it is played right and your song does that the beginning notes catches your ear and makes you want to listen to the song it threw me off thinking it was a gospel song it first but no matter all in all it was a good song and it kind of reminds me of songs that I have done but you did a good job and I wish you the best

Nice vocals unlike I have ever heard, I really like the theme of the song and the story that it tells. Great title concidering what has just taken place, about the Confederate flag and the name "Rebel" Also the ending could have been held out rather then

Nice vocals unlike I have ever heard, very smooth. I really like the theme of the song and the story that it tells. Also a great title, considering what has just taken place, about the Confederate flag and the name "Rebel" in the country. Also the ending could have been held out longer, rather than just suddenly stopping. Just my opinion. However I still enjoyed the song and the theme of the song! Great job.

This has a very deep emotional sound and lyric, not opinionated on the recording, this has no bearing on the song's content itself, I can feel where this is coming from.

Good folk tune

pros - This is a really good tune man. Id say that you probably wouldn't need to have a full band with you, but I think that it would sound good either way. You could totally rock out to this song. It sounds like you are playing this on a classical guitar, which adds a nice tone to it. I look forward to hearing it with say a full band or fully mastered :) cons - watch your tempo and make sure when you record it for real that you use a click track :)

This is obviously a very talented songwriter. I just love lyrics with meaning and depth. I would love to see this cut completed with a good recording and some added instrumentation to accent the changes and really bring this song to life. No matter what, this is a great songwriter.

This song is well structured and has a great deal of potential. I can hear all sorts of things going on, in my head, as the song progresses. It cries out for full production and hope that someone picks it up and runs with it. I love the transition from the verse into the second section and then the chorus. If I wasn't incredibly busy, I would take this on myself. I look forward to listening to more ...... ;-)
