Aje DeCap / About
Born in August Town St. Andrew Jamaica in 1980, DeCap Walters grew up in Anglican (Episcopalian) household where dad was the strict one. In 1990 life changed as the entire family migrated to the United States. DeCap Walters ended up in a school system where racism was the norm. DeCap Walters was in the school choir and participated in all the school plays for he has a thing for drama and the arts.
In 1992 DeCap Walters was accepted to one of the top ten schools in the USA Boston Latin School. It was at BLS where DeCap Walters extended his passion in music by joining the schools Jazz Band and learnt to play the Trombone, Trumpet and Saxaphone. DeCap Walters has since then been into music.
In 1996 after creating groups and performing at many talent shows DeCap Walters decided to take music to another level and began working on his craft in a different lite. DeCap Walters wrote over 50 songs and created two hardcore rap albums in Boston Mass.
DeCap became an addict to marijuana and was trying all sorts of drugs while making money.
After a while DeCap Walters made a conscious decision to stray and stay away from his family which ended DeCap Walters in situations of homelessness and hopelessness. While trying to cope with his situation DeCap Walters decided to hang around a crowd that would only influence him to divulge more into negative plots and schemes.
In 1997 BWE Records was Walters haven of safety dealing with music was a must. Studying music at Berklee college of music was a blast and led to a more professional atmosphere for DeCap Walters.
2004 ended with DeCap Walters being deported to Jamaica to live a life he knew nothing of. After 14 years growing in the USA who knew he would be back in Jamaica for good. Living in Jamaica became hard for DeCap. During the process of making friends DeCap Walters ended up in more situations which led to jail and a prison sentence.
While in captivity DeCap Walters meditated and went to church, he even held devotion on a nightly basis. Being incarcerated caused DeCap Walters to draw closer to God and growth in his faith.
DeCap Walters did not know he would have made such a turn around after so may years of Ganja smoking and Alcoholism.
In 2011 DeCap Walters met Zini who in 2012 became his wife and they both have given up their lives to Jesus as a sacrifice. Since DeCap Walters has turned over a new leaf life has never been the same. His Music is a testimony of his life.

Due to formidable circumstances DeCap Walters through trailing situations maintains focus on music. 2013-15 brought confusion and disarray. From a deteriorated relationship to a blessing of DeCaps daughter Zowie Walters has since settled in focusing on music production and education.
2019 - 2021 will be fruit of relentless labour while continuing the vision of positivity while upholding the standards of BWE Records DeCap Walters strives to create Jamaica's next big thing!!!!!
