A Day In Pompeii - Here Me Now

Such a good opening rock/metal riff, I really like it. A different style of singing, more characteristic of guitar flageolets - I fully appreciate it, it gives this composition a lot of atmosphere. In the middle of the song there is an acoustic guitar and a solo - such a cool improvisation. I almost forgot about the bass guitar line - really, really great sound at the beginning with the intermittent guitar riffs... Backing track in the middle too. The growl choruses are an amazing idea. Yes, I can answer A Day in Pompeii – we hear you now! Greetings, Maciej ATRAPA

Tune! Cranking Rock, the way it should be

One of those tunes you are really glad you stumbled across. Great vocal production and delivery on the female vocals. Got that nice deep dark, death metal voice in there with a crisp professional finish. Big track.

"Hear Me Now" by A Day in Pompeii

Upon your very first listen to "Hear Me Now" by Lynchburg, Virginia's A Day in Pompeii, you can not help but be impressed by the band's musicianship and the song's production values. While A Day in Pompeii's musical influences are quite evident, they have achieved a great sound that is certainly unique and compelling. Highly recommended, looking forward to hearing more from this terrific band.

Love the guitar sound Aswell as the energy that smacks you once everything kicks in. The drums are killer the bass sound sweet also, but I would give it at tap up and make it stronger to give the song more punch. Everything is tight. Love the lyrics & the singer has a fantastic tone! All in all, this rocks!

With this start, there's no doubt where you're going with this song. Really great solid rock sounding guitar tracks and your vocals have a cool sound reminiscent of all the amazing '80's singers. What I would suggest is simply go with your sound you have 'singing' and eliminate the overused in the market screeching. Everyone's used it and starts to sound the same fall back. You guys already have a great rock sound. Just keep writing songs and rockin' out like you are already doing! Good luck...

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song the guitar and drums kick off the passionate beat and then the vocals hit and you know you're in for a treat. Kinda like Def Leppard meets Poison. Really lovely production, too. Great work!

Thank you giving me the opportunity to review your track. I always like to mention that this is only one mans opinion, especially when I have a few negative things to say, Not the case here. Really enjoyed this track. The production was really good and the instrumentation shined throughout. Really dug the raunchy male vocals highlighting the awesome female. It had a lot of punch and the drums were banging. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because I felt the guitar solo was a bit on the weak side and should have really boosted the track. Great work guys.

Powerful entry with a safe riff, very safe but powerful. Execution and production overall is solid. The chorus is nothing new, but catchy, very routined execution and composition up till here. Tasteful use of voice layering, the growls bring in aggression. Up till now for me a bit too safe, let´s see the interlude: a bass melody and a surprising clean melody witch dynamically senese ful is taken over by the distorted lead guitar. Nice, but i´m still waiting for a virtuous explosion...the following chorus marks the climax, the voice gives it all. Interesting variation of the entry lick, played very well. Bottom line: for me a bit too safe, too routined, the solo could have used a faster and more flamboyant end. You seem to be stuck in the mid tempo, a few uptempo passages could have been refreshing. It sounds oldschool, that´s ok, but I miss something own, personal, which makes you sound like A Day In Pompeji, if you get what I mean. Positive: great production and execution by all parts, solid composition, you really have learned the basics of classical metal. But maybe you should emancipate yourself from your points of orientation or idols, and let your ideas flow. I could imagine that you are able to create something own, something special. Best of luck and greetings !

Very powerful metal riffs, accompanied by a stunning female voice that is neither screaming nor yelling but singing. Precisely played with all the stops in the verses, even the drummer lets these parts still breathe instead of hammering everything into pieces. A very nice idea is the break in the middle, followed by a clean and melodic guitar solo which I didn't expect in a metal song. Two small remarks: The song is basically in one single tune, and in addition it is comparably long with nearly 05:30. Could be interesting to modulate one part (either the guitar solo or the "outro") into a different tune, maybe a full tone up, to create sort of an alternation.
