François Essindi is a Cameroonian musician artist, initiated into traditional art.
He plays traditional wind, skin and body instruments. François Essindi is also a luthier, he makes replicas of endangered instruments in his Ekang culture in southern Cameroon, (traditional harps) Mvet, Ngomo

Trained in theater at the National Ensemble of Yaoundé, in Cameroon and thanks to the numerous internships and cultural meetings, through the Goethe Institute in Yaoundé and the French Cultural Center in Yaoundé, François benefited from a great experience which has made him a credible artist in his country, with awards and distinctions.

Today, in residence at the Aleph theater in Ivry sur Seine, François Essindi continues his activity, he has collected and translated into French traditional tales from the region of southern Cameroon that he tells to music in schools and other places. Four of these tales were published in a bilingual book and illustrated in the Harmattan editions:

- The Magic Whistle
A percussion instrument player, François organizes rhythm initiation workshops every Monday using traditional instruments. These workshops are also taking place in other places.
François made copies of traditional instruments in Paris which are disappearing in his culture. He goes to meet musicians from all horizons. This project is called the "Tag Ekang Music Experiences ..." Small concerts of this project are gradually emerging, in Paris, in, Ile de France or elsewhere in France.
