SIX-2 Biography Craig Longmiles was (born October 27) and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He is an American Rapper/Singer/Songwriter. Known by his Stage Name Six-2 believes himself less as a rapper per-say and more a conversationalist and story teller. His music career began as a teenager when he and friend El Dogg created the group GenaCide. They gained notoriety and radio play from their song “Tha Citi” offs the self-named album Waste uva Cular. They also received national radio play when DJ Greg Street featured “Simple as that” on his it’s 6 O’clock mixed tape. While continuing to work on new material Six-2 was approached by and introduced to DFW legend The D.O.C. and. After D.O.C heard and saw Six-2’s natural raw talent brought him out to Los Angles to meet and work with Dr. Dre on his upcoming The Chronic 2001 Album. While he was there he was able to write and be featured on two songs that made the track line up XXplosive (HittMan, Kurupt, Six2, & Nate Dogg on the hook) and Bitch Niggas (Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Six-2). The Chronic 2001 went on to sell over 10 million copies and reach Platinum status. To this day is remains on the “Top 200 Best Rap Albums of All Time”. While working on his solo album. Due to the success of the album Six-2 joined the lineup for the “Up in Smoke” Tour. The largest most successful Hip-Hop tour in U.S history to date. Upon returning to the DFW area Six-2 set upon releasing his 1st solo album that featured the talents of The D.O.C., Dr.Dre, Snoop Dogg, M.C. Ren, Nate Dogg, Ice Cube, Devin The Dude, just to name a few.The Album was then released by The. D.O.C. titled “DEUCE”. After leaving D.O.C and Silverback Records Six-2 was once again approached by another Hip-Hop Legend Timbaland and asked to come to Miami, Fl to work alongside him and a few other artists and song writers (Attitude, Kerri Hilson,)as an independent artist/songwriter to create the now known as “Shock Value” album. While there he co-wrote The PussyCat Dolls No.1 Hit Song “Wait a Minute” and the feat. Justin Timberlake “Release”. After having to fight for and winning his rights to “Wait a minute” all the other songs he co-wrote and/or performed were removed or the vocal redone for the Timbaland album. In true Six-2 style as soon as he returned back to Texas he joined up with Big Mike (of the Ghetto Boys) and went down to Houston where while working on a new album “Southern Hydro” They wrote and shot the “Down Home” video that went on to become one of the most viewed videos on YouTube in 2008. While due to some personal matters that needed to be attended to by both parties the album has yet to be completed and released but with most of it recorded with tracks feat. Pimp C, Bushwick Bill, Kory Blues, & Devin The Dude. They both still plan on releasing it in the near future. Since then he has released Mac-a-roni and G’s, Affiliated, and Concrete Evidence in Street Album form. Shot a Video to his single Monsta feat Yung Lott, Faddy Daddy, and The GS Boys that premiered and continues to on MTV and MTV.Com during All-Star Weekend 2012. After taking a short hiatus Six-2 is back. With 2 Street Albums Still Affiliated and a new solo Album set to be released before the end of 2015 Six-2’s words of advice for upcoming artists “Get your paperwork right. Make sure you have a lawyer look it over. Don’t take anyone at face value. Protect yourself and get what’s yours”.
