Many of our songs lyrics are times and speak a lot about things happening in our world today! Peace Machine timely in wanting AI to run our world and World Without Heroes where the real heroes of our world are forgotten! While Miles Yet To Go encourages everyone that there is better things beyond today for us personally to our world!

On a personal note, I'm being accepted into a very stable and secure transitional home while I continue my search for a apartment! All your prayers, thoughts and encouragement are working! My next landing place in my homeless journey is so incredible...more than I could ask for! God is great!

Wow Rough Innocence Fans! Thanks for moving RI up into the top 110 for Rock in Pennsylvania! I'm amazed and excited! From #14 Reflections Of A Madman through #106 World Without Heroes each one of you have moved us up! Thanks again!

On a personal note, although I remain homeless, the shelter I am currently living in is a very good one! I'm relaxed and at peace here and God continues to move on my behalf in many ways and I know soon I'll be able to share having a home again!

Seeing homelessness from a new vantage point by personally being homeless in Denver Colorado - opened my eyes in ways to see just how extreme the situation is for people in our country! I'm very thankful that my shelter helps single women, women with children and male veterans! But it can only help so many people, as do the other shelters here...but the needs outweigh their capacity by overwhelming numbers! Please keep the individual homeless people, the organizations and ministries serving them and our elected leaders in local, state and federal levels to find ways to reduce and eliminate homelessness!

I hope you are all safe, healthy and have all you and your loved ones need! February is soon out the door and March will be blowing in very soon! Wishing for spring to arrive fast! One of my favorite seasons!

Hoping each and every one of you are keeping warm and safe in this cold winter.

I, myself have become homeless as of January 15th, I was evicted from my apartment and went to a Woman's Night Shelter - homeless for the first time in my life, about to be 61 years old. After 2 weeks I found a 24/7 Shelter which meant I could stay all day and night not facing the bitter weather here in Denver Colorado. I got a social caseworker and she referred me to a much better place where I just moved into today. It's a much more controlled shelter, cleaner, drug free, warm a bed to call my own, they let you stay for 7-9 months here and their caseworkers help place you in a apartment or room! So in a very short period I feel safe again. You don't realize how much stress you're dealing with until it's lifted from you. This is the most comfortable and safe I've felt since being in my apartment.

Lifting you all in thoughts and prayers that whatever your situation happens to be, that you are warm, safe, fed and have a roof over your head! God knows your needs and I just ask He fulfills them!

I'm very thankful that in such a dangerous situation God did not depart from me...in fact I felt Him even closer...He's guided my footsteps even in dangerous waters, circumstances and situations. I'm so thankful! I'll be sure to let you know when I have a home again!

Miles Yet To Go lyrics/melody I wrote are about hope and optimism for our way forward! Many have emailed me to say how much the song has helped them! I'm so glad! A Rock n Roll critic back in the day...gave us a lot of flack for the song being on the album. Said it was too commercial. LOL! It's become a favorite! What did he know?!

Reflections Of A Madman lyrics/melody I wrote was as a stay at home Mom being sleep deprived as our son was very fussy and would not sleep nights...thank goodness we discovered he had an inguinal hernia and once operated baby and Mom were so much better! Yes dark thoughts!

Haunted Nights lyrics/melody I wrote of sensual dreams where you meet a dream lover who always disappears with the morning light.

Peace Machine music and most words were written by the founding members of the band and a previous lead singer. Kelly revamped it and added to the lyrics and made it her own! About society trying to make the world and humans perfect leading to their own destruction.

Love Will Be Waiting our rock ballad started as acoustic guitar by Ed Gerlach and my words/melody and then the band rocked it out together. My youngest brother was in the Army, stationed in Iraq and had several tours in Afghanistan as well. There have been so many songs about the soldiers but not about their loved ones anxiously waiting for their return.

World Without Heroes lyrics/melody/music by Kelly Ryan and the band rocked it up is our other ballad and the sentiments are timeless and especially for today's world.

Dark Eyes lyrics/melody/music by Kelly Ryan and the band rocked it up is a great rocking song! About that one lover who got away with regret or relief you'll have to be the judge!

Living In The City music and most words were written by the founding members of the band and a previous lead singer. A great song and Kelly's voice fantastic! About fighting to survive.

Just thought you'd like a little background on the songs! Thanks for all your compliments and enthusiasm for our music!

You Fans Rock because its all your doing! With $$'s low I haven't been able to renew the membership which allows promotion and helping promote other bands on NumberOneMusic! So thanks very much!

I appreciate hearing from all who reach out via messages and always try to respond promptly! Its great hearing your love of our music and yes I wish the band was still together to create more music! But we broke up in the mid to late 90's! Our members have each gone their own ways in music and life. Two founding members have created a new band 'Black Water Greed" and can be found online! Personally, I'm preparing to move from The Rockies to FLORIDA! I've been land locked too long! Need to replenish the sea water in my veins! Thanks everyone who has us on your playlists and have subscribed to our newsletters and follow us!

So sorry I haven’t updated anything lately. I couldn’t afford to renew my premium membership so have not been able to help other bands promote their music nor do the normal promotions, etc…

But WOW! So stoked that without any promotions you all got most of our songs in the top 100!

I haven’t been employed since 2019 and because of technical glitches and my previous employer haven’t qualified for Unemployment either and since I relocated to a new state last year and won’t be able to drive till 2022 – I’m finding it hard to get a job – so I’m trying remote jobs but no success yet…but believing everything will work out. I had a serious work injury in 2008 and so I do get Disability Income but that doesn’t cover everything either…very thankful for my BF helping make ends meet.
Hoping everyone is doing well, keeping healthy, hopefully making ends meet too, you’re all in my prayers!

Rough Innocence, originally formed in 1980’s by Dale Duffy, Rick Risberg, Joe Tyson & Aubrey. Always an original band adding covers to set lists taking them to the next level by “Rough Inno-cizing" them!

The members except for Aubrey were jamming a lot in Joe Tyson's garage up in Columbia, Pennsylvania. Edward Gerlach was invited to come and jam and I, Deborah R Force-Shy-Gerlach-Culver came along with. They had an awesome sound and Kelly Ryan had just come back from New York playing with a band up there that broke up. We asked the guys if we could bring her along the they agreed, and she did. Rough Innocence was reformed with Kelly Ryan's killer vocals and her brother Edward Gerlach as rhythm guitarist and they began birthing new songs with Kelly Ryan and Deborah R Force-Shy-Gerlach-Culver writing lyrics and melodies.

Late 1980's was a magical time of the hair bands and starry-eyed dreams of making it big. We had recorded our own CD and a following calling local radio stations, but they could not play as we were not signed, much to the chagrin of the DJs who wished like heck they could play us. With an all original line up garnered 2nd place at the 1991/1992 York Fair's, Battle Of The Bands were Kix was the headline act. (York, PA). Each of the members are still doing music in some way, shape or form.
